Construction Update: Seeking bids

The Children's Discovery Museum is seeking bids for the renovation of our new location at 7 Eustis Parkway in Waterville, to convert what was previously a church into a beautiful children's museum resource for children and families of the Central Maine Community.

Advertisement for Bid:


Separate sealed BIDS for the construction of accessibility upgrades for a former place of

worship to: remove small platforms and stages; construct 2 accessible restrooms; install

several fire-rated doors; create fire separations in several areas; painting; electrical work;

door hardware upgrades; exterior reconfiguration of portions of the parking area and

other associated miscellaneous work.

at the office of: The Children’s Discovery Museum, 7 Eustis Parkway, Waterville,

ME until 2:00 p.m., (Local Time) Monday, August 8, 2022, and then at said office

publicly opened and read aloud.


An optional walk-thru will be held at 2:00 p.m., (Local Time), on Thursday, July 21,

2022.


The CONTRACT DOCUMENTS may be examined at the following locations:


7 Eustis Parkway, Waterville, ME (by appointment)


Copies of the CONTRACT DOCUMENTS may be obtained at the office of Am-at-eur

Service, located at 231 Oxford Street, Portland, ME 04101, 207-772-7006, upon payment

of $38.10 for each set.


Any BIDDER, upon returning the CONTRACT DOCUMENTS promptly and in good

condition, will be refunded the payment, and any non-bidder upon so returning the

CONTRACT DOCUMENTS will be refunded $20.00.
